Private Domain Registration

ID protect (also called "Secure WHOIS") works in the same way as having your phone number "unlisted": it prevents people from gaining access to your address, phone number and other private information. You can protect your private Whois information by switching your "public" domain registration to a "private" unlisted registration. Offered for the following TLD's only: biz, com, info, mobi, name, net, org, me & co

The ID Protect service is:
$9.99/yr. (per domain)

More on Private Registrations

Step 1:

Any domain with our service can be private! There are two options:
- Make a domain name private: Start your domain registration here. - Make an existing domain private: In order to make a domain that was registered elsewhere private, you must complete a domain transfer first. When the transfer process is complete - you can convert your public domains into private registrations.
Secure Whois will be enabled on your domain after a short verification process by our billing department. Afterwards, you can check your domains' information by performing a whois search.

Step 2:

Your Secure Whois (ID Protect) will be easy to renew. Just contact us. Domain registration fees are separate.
Did you know that current ICANN regulations require that your Private contact information (Whois Info) be included in a publicly accessible Database? This means that your private information is displayed and made available to anyone who wants to see it, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Now you can protect your private Whois information by switching your "public" domain registration to a "private" unlisted registration through ID Protect.

Your private contact information is not exposed. It is held in confidentiality and protected by the Domain Privacy Protection Service. Their contact information is displayed to provide you with the highest level of protection against spammers and identity theft.
Without Privacy ID, spammers can obtain your email address from harvesting and then use it for spamming purposes and redistribution to marketing firms. Your email address can stay on file with various spammers and marketing firms for years. Due to our dynamic email system, your visible email address is constantly changing, so while it is being harvested and redistributed, it will change and the previous address will no longer work for the spammer. The Domain Privacy Protection Service secures and maintains your real email address on file so you receive important information regarding your domain.
You retain full legal ownership and control over your domain name. You can sell, renew, transfer and change settings to your domain name just the same as before. Your Domain Manager provides you real-time access to easily manage your domain name.
